Presenting a toast at a wedding can be a lot of pressure. Often times the best way to lighten the mood is with a joke to get the audience on your side. Here are some of the best and worst toasts we have heard at some of our events.

4. This one is way too over done and needs to be banned from weddings! Ask the groom to put his hand on top of the bride's hand. Then look at him and say "Well Mike...I hope you enjoy this moment. Because this will be the last time you will have the upper hand in life."

Maybe not as appropriate, but one of the funnier ones we've seen was the best man walking up and saying "I was told the best man speech should last as long as it takes the groom to make love" Best man looks down and walks off stage.... Runs' back on and says "I'm kidding" and presents his sentiment.

2. At this event a grooms uncle was visiting from Texas and started his wedding toast like this... "My wife and I were happy for twenty years. Then we met."

1. This toast came from the brides father ... "Here is to my daughter and her new husband. Raise your glasses and remember this truth, her lucky man and I have each gained something this fine and blessed day.   He gains a wife and a companion for life, while I gain a whole new stack of bills to pay."
